今早阿倫帶芥蘭去診所, 晚上就由我送佢回家. 好不忙碌!

診所的人昨天不但笑我地芥蘭個名, 今日仲笑佢成日疴屎......(我一直以為所有小狗都是這樣, 點知係只有芥蘭是特別鐘意疴屎?!?) 當時簡直係晴天霹靂!!!!!!!

佢地仲好認真地話法國老虎真係傻的, 他們咁坦白的道出阿蘭係傻的真相, 實在太殘忍了!!

診所的人說她是焚化爐, 食極都唔停, 回家的時候已經變成一個波!!芥蘭好愛吃啊!

Darlie 最後的晚餐之廚神告別宴

Darlie (an Indonesian domestic helper) will be leaving Kitty's family soon, so we had the last dinner prepared by Darlie tonight.
We felt so contented after having this "simple" home-cooked meal, including 10 dishes, chicken soup, fruit platter, ice-cream, Chinese tea and a 2-min massage by waitress Nim Nim. What a heavenly experience!!!
We will remember the taste of this FEAST forever. Darlie will be missed by this hungry gang.
In return for this wonderful dinner, we have to offer some help on Kitty's young daughters' home work - 中文作句. but obviously our help was not appreciated by their mom. These are some of our creations:

We watched the CATS Musical tonight.

I like the opening group dance especially the tab dancing.

The most annoying thing is there was an auntie sitting next to us singing together with the singer. Come on! This is a musicial, not a karaoke night or any HK concert.

We met Anton at the exit, what a coincidence.

芥蘭回家了

We have been waiting for this date for so long, and we picked her up from the pet shop once I landed HK yesterday. She has become stronger and healthier, how great is that!

2009 Business Trip #4 - Taipei (Day 4): My Favourite Restuarant in Taipei - Shi Yang Culture

Taiwan is a lovely place where you can get some fresh air and see the greens somewhere not too far away from the city centre.
Tonight, we went to have dinner at Shi Yang Culture, Yang Ming Shan. I can say this is my favourite restaurant in Taipei so far. I am loving it because

• The place is nicely decorated in a semi-Taiwanese/semi-Japanese style. Please see the website for more photos of its decor.


• The restaurant is bulit in the mountain. There are little cabins all over the place along the hill. You can imagine you are sitting in the forest. (remarks: I am sitting indoors tonight, but it's nice too)


• You don't need to order food here. What you need to do is you tell them what you do not eat. For example, we came with an Eqyptian who does not eat pork. In this case, they will serve you a menu that is pork-free.


• Food is delicious yet creative. They also serve fruit-flavoured vinegar to refresh your taste between dishes.


• Food presentation is excellent by using a lot of flowers collected in the mountain. They will garnish the food like flower arrangment on the plate. The dishes are super cute!

Although i don't know how much did it cost, it is really a nice place to relax and have a chat with friends. They serve lunch and dinner everyday except Monday.

2009 Business Trip #4 - Taipei (Day 3)

The operator i met today is a pretty girl who looks like Taiwanese Singer Suen Yan Zi. I think she must be a dream girl for many men.

I have finished work earlier today, so I visited my favourite shops - Working House and Eslite Bookstore. I got some new tableware and books this evening.

On the first night, I also bought a Japanese camera backpack for ah lun at Tailung Hands, i think i am spending too much $$$ in this business trip.

2009 Business Trip #4 - Taipei (Day 2)

Got 6 meetings today!! I feel a bit tiring today with my high heels.

Luckily, got a lot of market intelligence from the trade partners. I also met some funny Taiwanese. People here like to make jokes, i am loving them.

By the way, I have got new Taiwanese souvenirs this time. It's a paper-thin pork jerky with almond, and I have ordered the delivery last night, and the box arrived my hotel room today. I really enjoy this purchase, because I do not need to visit their shop and carry the heavy box back.

2009 Business Trip #4 - Taipei (Day 1)

80% of the passengers on the plane are wearing surgical masks. 20% include me, a few foreigners and some flight attendants.

I did bring along the masks just in case, but everyone around me look very healthy, so I did not put on the mask as planned. Because of the swine flu, the flight loading is seriously affected. The good news is we are not sitting shoulder to shoulder, and we all get some personal space on the flight. How good is that!

I am staying in Grand Formosa Taipei again. The area does not have much changes. Ah Lun and I did take a few photos in this crossroads in Nov 2008. I passed by that crossroad this evening again during the dusk time.

Recovering Kai Lan

When we meet Kai Lan, we could forget all our stress. We are so in love with her!!!!!

Informed by the Pet Shop tonight, Kai Lan is safe to go home late this week. We will pick her up on Saturday afternoon, when I am back to Hong Kong. Saturday will be a busy day again, because we will go straight to get her after my flight landing in noon time. I remember all the tiring cleaning work 2 weeks ago, and I guess she forgot all the toliet training, so I am prepared to clean her area 4 times a day.

Nevermind, this is part of the package and I am sure I am doing this with a smile.

Kai Lan is getting naughty and curious again, which means she is getting healthy. It's great to see her before my travel. :)

Kai Lan is like a cow in this view! She has grown "longer" within this week even though she was sick. Loving her muscular body.

Happy Mothers' Day 2009

Reminded by Cici (Ah Lun's sister), our wedding banquet was held on 10 May one year ago. Time flies so quickly! What a coincidence, Cici & Jeffrey were doing the "出門" ceremony today, 10 May 2009.

After the ceremony, we had the worst buffet ever with mom-in-law. Luckily, we had some good laughs at the restaurant as Ah Lun was in the mood to joke around.

Cici got a new camera Nikon D5000 to replace her D60, so we are truly a Nikon family because Jeffrey has D3 / Ah Lun has D300 / Meiling has D90. The cameras should take a family photo too. We are now missing D700 in this family, so we are asking 60-yr-old mom-in-law to buy one. FYI, this will cost over HKD20,000. hahahhahahha

Terrible dessert! Make a guess, what flavour is the light green dessert? Cici thought this is mint, mom-in-law said it should be lime, and I guessed it is melon flavours. All of us were wrong!!!! its taste is ube. OMG!

After lunch, I went to see the Panda film with mom and dad. They talked so loudly just like small kids. You know waht, it was not a nice experience for me as I really really really hate people talking during the show. *Sigh*

Kai Lan is recovering!!!

Kai Lan is getting better and better, we are flattered.
Today, she could finish up her meals according to the vet. We were told that she played with the water on her dish and got herself wet. How stupid she is. I love her because she does not only look stupid, but she is really stupid inside out.
Everyone coming into the pet shop will say Kai Lan is a lovely girl, and I am so proud of her.
Hope she will bark again, it means she is fully recovered. We missed her non-stop woooowowowoowoowowoowoow!

芥蘭失憶

昨天特地去了寵物店探望芥蘭, 她的情況已經好轉, 開始有食野, 但係食得唔多, 亦再沒有呼吸困難, 條氣順番好多了, 希望佢過多兩天, 會再好多一點.
芥蘭, 妳要茁壯成長呀!
最後不得不提的傷心事就是她完全忘記了我們的樣子及氣味, 真係令人心痛!
預計她最快要到下星期初才可以回家, 到時候我又要出差了, 可能我要五月中才見到佢, 掛死我啦!

Bedtime Stories

If you like 1) Adam Sandler, 2) comedy movies, and 3) you are young at heart, you will probably like Bedtime Stories.

When the movie was on, we hesitated if we should go to the cinema even though we quite like Adma Sandler's films. To be frank we were not attracted by the movie pictures, so we decided to save some bucks and waited for the DVD.

It's a fun, straight-forward and kid-friendly story especially when you have no expectations. I laughed like a small kid indeed.

I am terrified, Kai Lan is sick!

When we rushed back home last night, Kai Lan did not bark anymore.
She has got some yellowish discharge around her little nose. We decided to bring her to the doctor in the midnight. (Thanks Jennifer & Fanny's help in sharing the contacts with me, i know you are the ones who stay late, and you must be very surprised to see my caller ID at such time)

She is so weak now, and we could not sleep at all. We are so worried!
Ka Lan, please stay strong, we cannot afford to lose you.

artjamming - i am lovin' it

After writing 3 days of puppy stories, i am glad to see that my life is filled with some other "colourful" stories. Thanks very much for Ah Lun for taking care of Kai Lan and let me have some fun on my own.
