BFF pool party

It's a challenge to come with a kid on your own. Ah Lun was required to work on that Sunday, so I have to bring Megan to join the pool party by myself. It's a new experience for me, as you have to pack a million things into the bag and carry a kid and a swimming ring at the same time. 

Megan needs to walk on shoes. Mommy fell down like Humpty Dumpty as she lost balance when she's putting on the shoes for Megan. 

This is the only picture we had. This captured all what happened in the next one hour. Megan, encountering separation anxiety these two weeks, was not letting me to leave her body an inch. 

In addition, she did not like the idea of swimming this summer. She was enjoying the swim last year very much. See the above photo for the transformation. 

After this group picture, Megan started to cry. 

What I can do is to dry her, change her, change myself and then feed her. Once she's having food, she's calmed immediately. She had a box of milk, cherries and some bread. 

Kate has been so great to accompany me all the time. Great to catch up with her on the taxi. 

By the way, it's a great party venue!! 5-star. 

Happy Fathers Day 2016

I booked the table one month ago to make sure we have a place to go. We booked the afternoon tea buffet at Hyatt Regency in TST. 

It's the first time Megan taking the buffet. She's so excited. 

It's also the first time she took the bus, as I always worried if I will fall down in the bus if I am carrying baby, so I am finally getting a chance to take the bus together. She loves the "wheels on the bus" song so much that she is so happy to see the bus. But after getting on the bus, she's falling asleep. 

Before leaving home, I ask her to Say good bye to Kailan. It has become a habit now. 

It's so sunny that day. Let's wear a hat!

Fish handbag is a souvenir from Maldives. Sorry we did not take u last time.

Papa made a good decision to bring the hip seat. She finally ended up sleeping on it.

Megan was trained to be very generous in kissing families and friends. Happy Fathers Day, Ah Lun. 

She fell asleep on the bus. And we let her sleep for 30mins as she refused to sleep at her usual nap time. It seems that she knows we are going out that day.

Finally, we have to wake her up. She started very 呆滯in the beginning. She's having pizza with one hand and something else in the other hand. 

Her bite is so big she's using the other hand to help. Funny stage. 

She kept on eating

On our way home, we took MTR. She insisted to put on the sunglasses even there's no bright sunshine anymore. 

A perfect end to a happy family day.

We bought a cheap ikea table and chair set for Megan. It's the cheapest version, we only used it for 6 months because there are cracks found in both table and chairs lately.

Finally we had to buy the solid wood version. The old one is still here (picture left), waiting daddy to wake up and throw them away. 

The new nursery rhyme book is her favorite now. 

Wednesday Date #11 - 15 June

We went to 老地方 for a fantastic Chinese meals tonight. 

We ordered 4 big dishes. 老闆娘asked if we finished all when we checked the bill. I said yes!! 

Three of the dishes are our old favorites, i.e. Fried prawns with salted egg yolk $155, fried pork knuckles $95 and black pepper clam soup $95. The new dish is the fried noodles $70. 

We were so full, and most importantly we find the dishes so delicious. We hoped that Michelin will not spy this little store so it remains a hidden gem in the neighbourhood. 

I found out that Ah Lun just drove with one hand, so I asked for a photo to imitate Aaron Kwok's photo 開慢D. Of course, we did not hold hands after the shoot. That's a bit too much. I did it just for fun.

So happy to find out these flowers when I came back home tonight. 

Megan says these are "mama's flowers". So sweet. 

Ah Lun said Megan was so happy when he brought home flowers. I am sure Megan will love flowers like mama. 

Wednesday Date #10 - June 8

It's Ah Lun's say what to eat this time. He loves Euro go go so much that we keep coming back. This is an affordable outlet, but it's fun to order like having a buffet. According to Open Rice, the average spending is Hkd51-100, he is just not the average person. He is a monster! 

Ordering two pizzas. I was fainted. Couples next to us are just ordering half a pizza. 

3 appetizers, 2 pasta, 2 pizza, 2 drinks and 1 desert. I stopped him ordering one more desert as I was scared. And he blamed me for stopping him now. And he said he could finish it. Crazy!

噴飯

點解？點解佢會無啦啦在食飯的時候改變頭髮的方向？我實在無法理解！

入哂戲！無得頂！

他並不是玩5秒，係我離開了飯桌，佢仍然保持呢個髮型。佢問了我一些問題，我嘗試望住佢，我保持冷靜，不過還是敵不過他難看的髮型。一直望到五秒就要轉移視線，深呼吸一下。我認輸了！

Weekend (June 11-12)

It's a heavy rainy day. We went to Cannan at 9am on Saturday to attend a seminar for students who will enroll this summer. 

Omg. Time flies. Megan will go to school in Nov. 

It's Sunday again. Its difficult to keep up with Megan's early schedule. She loves lining up her toys these days, and I find that habit very interesting and cute. 

Grandparents love meeting Megan, and vice versa. Megan kept saying gong gong po po before during and after their meetings always. So sweet. 

Megan is melting my parents' hearts. 

Well, it's only 9:45am after meeting grandparents. She's playing connie's second-hand toys when we were back. Ah Lun dismantled the toy and fixed the music, and Megan enjoys playing with it. 

Kailan is trying to be part of us when she's not sleepy. She sat on my feet again while I was singing the 100th time Humpty Dumpty. 

Kailan just stayed with us most of the time, and I thought she knows all about the songs, words, colour see taught Megan. 

It's such a rainy weekend and we can't go anywhere interesting. But Megan is still very happy whenever we go out. Yesterday, she brought along mouse. 

Her hair is getting very long. 

That's a summary of our boring but good weekend with family.

Kailan loves greeting masters when we come back home. She's very very active and demands very serious rubbing.

My First Balloon Art

We had nothing to do before knowing there's an ad hoc BFF kids party. So I asked tin tin to teach me making a balloon dog. It's the easiest thing to make according to her. 

Not bad. It's quite easy! 

New book shelf

Happy to install a new book shelf to organize all of Megan's books, second-hand or brand new! 

Saw this from a FB friend, and found the original wooden version (without paint) for our home. Hopefully, without the paint, it's less toxic. 

I like it thin and wide, just fitting my wall size. But I had taken off our travel photos for now. We will put them back on once we have time. 

The lowest row are nursery rhymes so she can take them easily. The upper two rows are mainly second hand books. 

Last but not least, thank you Ah Lun for fixing it and putting this up. 

BFF mommies meet-up

So ad-hoc, but I am glad to take Megan out to join Connie, Donna and Ah Yea. 

It's another playgroup for Megan, which is great socializing opp for her. She is enjoying the kitchen there, so much fun. 

We missed the food party!

We departed at 4:30pm so she had enough time to take dinner and medicine before bathing. It's such a big struggle to feed medicine. Luckily tin tin is good at this.
