Love her chubby fingers

Teething again! Lots of drooling and finger sucking this weekend. She's more tempered as well. Teething must be a painful experience for her. 

Before lunch, she's copying me to wipe the floor. She just followed what you do now. 

This baby knew that she's changed and wanted to go out ASAP. This reindeer is so impatient! 

Daddy wanted dim sum this Sunday

Usually, Ah Lun is the one who looked after Megan. 

On Sunday, I usually made pasta as I failed to cook the smallest amount of soft rice in a rice cooker. I was so bad in judging the rice to water proportion. 

Eating pear. It's crunchy and cold, good for a teething baby. 

Saturday (Nov 28)

Big ear and big bottle. 

She is drinking more milk at breakfast. 

A morning walk before playgroup 

These two things are supposed to be carried by my body. Taking a break before the lift. 

Lunch after playgroup is always delayed.

Teepee Tent

I have been waiting for so long to purchase a teepee tent! Finally the living room upgrade work has been done, so a spare play area is reserved for Megan. 

Teepee tent is a hot item in many Nordic kids room. It could be a luxury in tiny flats in HK. The one we purchased is a bit large, and it looks huge in our small flat. The good thing is Megan can walk freely inside the tent. 

Got this from Taobao at RMB250! What a bargain. Sturdy canvas...but the wooden rods are not made from quality wood, but it does not create any problem to the structure. 

Megan was curious. 

She could stand straight in the tent. We exchanged toys from the window on the side. Megan loved the idea and kept forcing a horse toy to pass through the small window. Poor horsie!

We will buy a carpet or mat for her to play inside the tent. 

Teething Sequences

Megan did not grow her teeth on schedule. Tin tin said this is due to her genes, ie Ah Lun or me was also slow in having teeth when we were young. 

Megan is now 13months 3 weeks, and she just popped out two lateral incisors.

Dating

Dating night!

There's a new Taiwanese beef noodle shop newly opened in Maritime Square. It recalls our great memories in Kaohsiung because the soup is as great as the one we visited in Taiwan. 

We ordered so much food and the man sitting next to Ah Lun really whispered "wa" when the waiter kept delivering food to our tiny table last night. That's only the second last dish they deliver. 

We did get strange looks from other eaters in the past, but this one is epic. 

Tantrums & Teething

Megan started to learn things quickly, but as the books said tantrums will be building up. She was upset especially when she was teething these two weeks. 

Suddenly she's not interested in bathing and we had nothing to do about it. Toddler's mindset is so difficult to read. Just hoping this stage will pass one day. 

She's getting bored more easily, but I think the teething is making her grumpy these days. 

Hopefully, her 7th and 8th teeth are popping up faster and shortening her pain.

When she's grumpy, we distract her with new stuff. Then she's calmed and happy again.

Home Upgrade - Living Room

I wanted to make a tailor-made cabinet with built-in table, the quote is HKD 24000. I told Ah Lun that I will go for it, and he said we should not do this because we can save some costs if we go for IKEA.

Then I went to Ikea to look for inspirations. In the end, we found a very light and smaller foldable table, to be stored into a massive cabinet. 

It's a mess everywhere. The challenge was how to keep the noise level low as baby's sleeping in her room. 

We did not cover the window so we can still have some strong breezes if we opened the windows from the opposite side.

The finished look is awesome! We spare a large area for Megan to play and walk though our place is small. 

Inspirations and contributions from Ah Lun was much appreciated. He also got two chances to have IKEA buffet when we purchased the cabinets and stuff. 

Sunday (Nov 22)

Tin Tin worked last Sunday, it's hard for me to pick up the Sunday mommy duties again this week. But I think she really needs this break as she's lazy in cleaning after working for two weeks non-stop. 

Breakfast milk! She drank 170ml for the first time. Feeling great sense of achievement (for me)!

Get dressed and ready to accompany mommy to buy her Sunday breakfast downstairs

Time to take this out again to recall her memory...

Filled with pillows and cushions! This did not keep her excited for long. But it took me some effort to set this up! 

Daddy's games are more fun, I think!

I was waking up earlier to look after Megan, but Ah Lun was helping to clean all dishes accumulated from dawn till lunch, before getting out for work. He was rushing home again for bath time at 5pm and cook me dinner. He's trying all his best to help, even he needs to work. Thanks so much, without his help I may become a depressed mom.
