2012 Birthday Celebration #2

We had dinner with my family in TST on July 28.I decided to make a last minute change in the venue as I was attracted by the ketchup squeeze bottles. We got the table so quickly, so we started drawing on the plate with ketchup.
Again, we forgot to take pictures with my sisters!! By the way, sister's friend Allen gor gor and his wife were sitting just next to our table. What a coincidence.

Following Apple Daily's cooking feature to make this. I love the creative presentation in my first sight. It's so easy to make.
May be next time I won't put cheese because it is a bit too much for the first meal of the day.

2012 Birthday Celebration #1

It's just July 27. Ah Lun cleaned up the flat on Friday when he was off. When I returned home, flowers were also waiting for me.
He got me this time as I was not prepared to start my birthday celebration so early!! I was surprised like the speechless monkey.
Well done!!

My obsession with ribbons

I love Eeyore who has a tail tied with a pink ribbon.
My obsession with ribbons has been extended to my accessory collection lately.
Yesterday, I just got the third ribbon ring from Beams Boys. Oh my god, I have 3 ribbon rings in total. The other two are from Kate Spade. Of course, I won't wear 3 ribbon rings at one time.

Typhoon number 10

Wow! Typhoon Vicente #10 is just hoisted. The heavy wind and rain just kept us busy all night. Our study room windows and my living room window let the rain to come into our house. It sucks!!

Though we could not finish up our dinner probably due to the flooding in our house, I still made an apple crumble as a desert.

I think it's quite nice. But I just need more crumble to cover up the apples. Hope I can make it better next time. Ah Lun said it is like having apple crumble in the restaurant. I am flattered on a typhoon no. 9 evening.

I made myself a big breakfast as Kailan woke me up so early!! Kailan is so eager to get one bite too. Sorry, these are not good for you!
P.S. I once saw Jamie Oliver crushing the new potatoes without separating them. But I failed to make the same effect. Frustrating!

When Ms Picasso meets the legendary picasso

It was a disappointed experience as there were far too many people in the exhibition halls. People were impolite and tooooooooo talkative. Just no manner at all.

But the collection was really complete. Artwork from every period is showcased.

I personally think people come not because they love Picasso art. Most of the people just came to take a picture in front of the Picasso poster. I don't know how people feel, I feel sick of people taking non-creative photos. Like photoblog's recent post, people just took a picture at the gate before their holidays. Interestingly, Ho g kong people are so dump and they just followed others to take the same picture. In the end, these pictures are really meaningless and exist without a soul.

At the Picasso exhibition, people line up to take picture at the Picasso poster......um...disgusting...,unless you have Ms Picasso in the picture.

A day without Kailan

Kailan was in hospital for 2 days because she dug out panadols from a closely sealed rubbish bin and ate two pills. I took an afternoon day off on Friday and took her to the hospital. She is required to take detox medication for two days.

It's our first time to visit a dog patient yesterday. Brand new experience!! When the hospital announced the start of visiting time, more than 30 people flocked to the first floor.

We were allowed to sit in front of Kailan's cage. When she saw us, she was really really happy. We need to calm her down because she is attached to a pipe and a machine.

After 30mins, we have to go. But the sad thing is she kept barking like crying. That's heart breaking.

When Kailan is not at home, the house feels so empty. I miss her so much that I made a toast of her yesterday. But in the end, I don't want to eat her...

I also prepared a dinner for ah Lun after making a toast. Because Kailan is not with me, I become so free and started to do all sorts of silly thing. I tried to decorate the dinner in the end. I made a girl with shrimp paste veggie as hair, and chicken as her eyes and noses

I told him that it's me. He always  to bully me, this is a good way of eating his wife!!

Latte Art Workshop (July 8)

When I worked for Sydney Tourism, we always brought media to coffee shops. I witnessed the making of latte art so long ago, so I really wanted to know how to make those lovely drawing with the silky milk foam.
7 of us joined the latte art workshop yesterday. Surprisingly, we did not use coffee to make the base. The organizer used ovaltine and chocolate as the base / canvas.
Sigh!!! No matter how we concentrate on the class and remember the steps, it's still very difficult to make one.
They taught us how to draw a heart and draw the classic leaf pattern. But we can only do that with the tutors' help. For the unsuccessful one, we can draw something on the foam with chocolate sauce. That's quite fun though. It's makes our failure sweeter.

if we failed to make latte art, we will end up having a lot of milk foam on top.

Taiwanese beef noodles in HK

Ah Lun is a beef lover, and of course he loves Taiwanese beef noodles. After Master So has introduced this shop in the TV program, we decided to visit the shop for a trial even though it's scoring in Open Rice is very low.
The food is really so-so, the beef soup was not rich enough. This is totally not authentic.
The best part is we can just park our car outside the shop. :) He loves beef but not any so-call "beef jerky" (ticket for illegal parking)
When we are about to leave Central, we saw the sky turning orange and pink. Ah Lun decided to go to Sheung Wan water promenade to take a couple of shots. But the traffic was so jammed, and we could only see the last bit of sunset after all those traffic light stops.
There were a couple of uncles taking photos there, and I started to chat with one. He showed me his great picture of the sunset. Interestingly, he was shooting close up of the sun, and lucky him, he got a plane flying in front of his photo. How wonderful.

Minnie Mouse & Meiling

Never been a fan of Mickey and Minnie in my whole life, but it is fate that i have a very close connection with Minnie.
In BFFs' actionary game, I acted as a Minnie mouse. After so many years, I have bought an ASOP vest online. Wearing this vest has turned me into a Minnie mouse. What a coincidence, colleague Cat has got a Minnie mouse mug!! What a funny photo. The pointed toes facing the sky is key, but it is not well captured in this photo.

阿嫲好玩得

阿倫成日都同阿嫲講笑，今晚嫲嫲又好高興同我地玩影相。平時阿嫲好憎影相，今次真係好難得！

昨晚我地送阿嫲返屋企，佢又成日扮識揸車，問：我地係唔係行青衣南橋返呀？因為這個係必然的，於是阿倫就話唔係呀，行東橋呀！（註：青衣只有南橋及北橋）
由於嫲嫲耳仔唔好，佢聽唔到，我地入左南橋就話呢條係東橋。於是後座嫲一面自言自語講南橋，我哋前座一路話很東橋，最尾阿倫仲吹到無雷公咁遠，話我哋行「thank you」㖭！笑死人！!

其實千祈唔好當佢地老，同佢地開玩笑，佢地仲開心。今晚嫲嫲食好多，應該係開心啦。

By the way, 今日就係JB100天生日。

Rubber Stamp

It's a relaxing day staying at home. So I just decided to make a rubber stamp of Kailan. It took me an hour to finish. It's an artwork which needs high level of concentration. I even did not bother to say good bye to Ah Lun as he is leaving home for work. I tried to show the art work to Kailan and she started to cry. It's hard for her to believe she is not the only dog in the house. Single child always get spoiled!!!

Inspiration for everyone

一根釘子
有一個小男孩，脾氣很壞，喜歡罵人、
說髒話、講狠話，已經成了生活習慣。
有一天，他爸爸給了他一袋釘子，
要求他說：「你每次想發脾氣開口罵人的時候，
就把一根釘子釘到籬笆上去。」

第一天，這位暴躁的男孩總共釘上了95根釘子。
第二天，這位暴躁的男孩總共釘上了80根釘子。
第三天，這位暴躁的男孩總共釘上了63根釘子。
第四天，這位暴躁的男孩總共釘上了42根釘子。
第五天，這位暴躁的男孩總共釘上了20根釘子。
第六天，這位暴躁的男孩總共釘上了31根釘子。
第七天，這位暴躁的男孩總共釘上了18根釘子。
第八天，………

慢慢地每天釘上去的數量愈來愈少了。

後來，他已經能夠控制自已不發脾氣了，
可以不必再釘釘子了。
於是他把那袋剩下的釘子拿去還給爸爸。

他爸爸反過來要求他：
「從現在開始，每次當你能夠自我控制住，
把罵人的話吞回肚子去的時候，
就可以把一根釘子從籬笆上拔出來。」

幾天過去，
小男孩告訴爸爸，所有的釘子都拔出來了。
於是爸爸牽著兒子的手一起去看籬笆。
爸爸說：「兒子，你做得很好！
顯然你已經能控制自己的脾氣了。
可是你看看這些籬笆上的洞，千瘡百孔，
籬笆已經不是原來的樣子了。」

「你要知道，只要你一發脾氣，就傷了人。
不管事後怎麼彌補，都還是會留下疤痕的，
看哪！就像這籬笆現在的樣子。
當你對人發脾氣，不管事後說多少次對不起，
疤痕都還是會在那裡。
苦毒、咒罵、忌妒的言語，
就像磨利的刀、比準的箭，一旦發出，非常傷人。
即使事後澄清是「說者無心」，但傷害已經造成。
所以下次，當想說一些會讓自己後悔的話時，
記住！控制脾氣。 」

人與人之間常常因為一些彼此無法釋懷的堅持，
而造成永遠的傷害。

Just found this flower BBQ pit in the country park. That's kind of cute to do BBQ on a flower. Hope we can come back for BBQ in winter time.
