Our new toy - fuel band by Nike

First day wearing the gadget and it keeps you feeling guilty not to move! Argh! 

Two sessions of figurobics just burnt me close to 250 calories. In case you are surprised about the low level of calories, I took 1x fat burn class + 1x fitball class which is just muscle building. Before my exercises, I used up only 409 calories by just going to work and coming back. But after the exercises, the total calories burnt is 667. 

I earned 3158 fuel points (a reward point developed by Nike) while Ah Lun  got 2,310fuel points. Yes! I have won over him on the first day. Let's see how things go as time goes on. 

Caprice Hong Kong (Dec 29)

Ah Lun is a big eater, so he has not been a big fan of fine dining. But he agreed to accompany me to try out Caprice, that's great! 

I called caprice in Nov, hoping to get a table near his birthday or our anniversary. But it's really full and we can only book Dec 29...

Ok, let's make it later so we can wrap our year in style, not a bad idea. 

He is worrying... But in the end he is ok. I can say he is not hungry, but not full. Lol. 

This is his appetizer! Those green little cubes are so tasty, giving a refreshing balance! 

That's my appetizer. This is mushroom soup. It feels like they are getting this clear broth with 50kg of wild mushroom. The red thing was made of beet root. 

His main - beef. It's tasty and has a strong beef flavour and it's cooked in perfection. Cannot see the colour here, but they look so nice. 

Oh la la! My seabass! The taste is super super awesome. How can they marinate the fillet in such a perfect taste. The sauce has so many flavors, and you can find pasta and clams there. It's just divine. 

A few petites before desserts. A million flavours in a mouth, lots of harmony! 

My dessert - chestnut and black current are two major ingredients. I love the polka dots. Great presentation! 

His desert - ginger bread and apple are the key stuff in this beautiful dish. It's just an art!

Service is superb! They keep a distance from us but yet they are so attentive. 

An occasional treat is necessary to keep us in good mood. Where should we go next? 

Christmas makeover

Before the holidays, we bought some new furniture from IKEA. They were delivered on Dec 24 afternoon. So we were busy with our home furniture re-arrangement during this Christmas, in between our gatherings. 

We threw away two old desks and replaced with one slim desk. The change is small but the re-arrangement has helped to make my living room more spacious unintentionally. This will give us a bigger area for weight lifting and stretching. 

Dining table moved to the right side

It makes more sense to move the portable cabinet back to sofa area! 

It's a wise choice.

I moved everything before Ah Lun is back, I just love the idea of moving things around. I guess I picked this habit up from my mommy when I was young. 

Boxing Day (Dec 26)

Feeling guity about the food intake in the last two days - hotpot & BBQ- we spent sometime in the gym doing weight lifting and fat burn exercises. There were a few people working out with us, but they all left for dinner before 7pm. 

Christmas (Dec 25)

Spending time with Chan's family at sister's place. She borrowed the BBQ stove from neighbor, and we had a really good time! The other neighbor even prepared Chinese sweet soup for us, that's really sweet. The bonding with neighbors in village is so strong! 

Finally we are off together

Dec is such a busy month for both of us. Until yesterday, we spent a full day together having fun. 

Though its simple, but we are having fun. The harder we work, the simpler life we want. 

I did shopping therapy to destress in the last two weekends without him. This time, we did not buy any clothes, but new furniture and stuff from IKEA. I always enjoy changing the configuration at home a bit from time to time. 

Had a good sleep. And now we are ready!

I have not got a pic with our cube before this one. Just in case we will have a new car, this is for my own record. But frankly speaking, I am emotionally attached to this car but on the other hand I want a new car...dilemma!!

On the way back, we saw a big sunset. Just randomly, we went to tsing ma bridge observation point to see sunset. 

But we can barely see the sunset with our eyes, but not through the lens. 

Ok! We are now heading back home and had a round of gym to burn the extra fat of suckling pigs we ate this week. He is pretending cute, so aweful. Haha! This is how we spent the winter solstice with my dear friend. 

Our taste of watch

We don't need someone to recognize our taste of watch but it's always good to have someone understand the beauty of our watches. 

Praise on my watch is not the first time. It was once praised by a business partner. Today, while I am working at a client's event, the emcee Jason Chan 陳智燊 discovered that we are wearing the same watch - Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean. He is of course wearing the super large size, while I m just wearing a boy size/ normal men's size. 

He is such a trendy tv celebrity, so it's awesome to know that he is wearing the same watch as mine. 

Ah Lun's one was a wedding gift by his mom on our wedding day in 2007. After seeing the watch for so long, and the price keeps appreciating, I am loving it day by day and decided to buy it in summer 2013. It's definitely a smart choice as I will wear it for a really long time. Like all my classic items, it will stay in my life for long. 

Company Xmas Party (Dec 6)

The theme is circus! So I am a sea lion, and the costume looks cute. 

Well done team especially when we are the busiest practice in the Q4, we still make it happen. 

Ah Lun's birthday (Dec 4)

A little morning surprise for him on his birthday.  

We were so busy this week, and we cannot have time to celebrate. Lets make it up in late Dec when we are less busy. 

This year, I have ordered his favourite caramel banana pie from Italian Tomato. I ordered 5 pieces of caramel banana pie, and then I mix them up with some other cakes to make an assortment. It's an indulgence to taste different cakes. 

Look forward to having a proper celebration dinner with him. 

Happy Birthday to Ah Yea

Dec is a busy month in both personal and business lives. I cannot imagine how busy I am this Dec. 

the first two weeks of Dec is critical, but I do enjoy meeting the girls after a long day of work. 

Happy chats to celebrate Ah Yea's birthday and send her off to South America! 

The restaurant is nice, and thanks for bringing me here. 

Dinosaur attack!

I am the one who will buy stuff that makes great laughters. Ah Lun and myself got our own dinosaur tails. The idea is to see if Kailan find it fun. I annoyed my dog with my chunky tail, she kept jumping and got tired before Ah Lun started reading her. Anyway, fun toy, great entertainment. 

My husband really knows how to pose. I kept shaking my butt, and its really fun. 

It's winter time

Winter has arrived, and Ah Lun built a house for Kailan again. He was so into it because he loves her so much. 

Kailan: what's going on? Why it is so messy? 

Kailan was watching the house-building process.

Clockenflap 2013

Time flies. It's another year! 

I am working at Clockenflap for the second time. 

The event is getting better and better. 

It's a really a cool festival to go, nice booth, great music, good variety of food, cool arts. 

I bought two dragon tails, one for Ah Lun and one for me. So silly

We are working near the kids' corner. This chicken is quite scary! 

We organized a design competition. The flowers on black background is mine. But I won't get a chance to win because I am a staff. 

It was not yet packed at 5pm. You cannot walk there after 7pm

Speechless

They are so happy when they see each other. Ah Lun offers Kailan powerful scratches whenever he comes home. The weird posture of the dog was captured tonight, its funny and weird.

It's always fun to do company photo shoot. It's like a school outing.

Business Trip - Beijing (Nov 21-22)

My trip was less than 24 hours in Beijing. But our trip was quite lucky anyway, and I cannot complain. 

Lucky enough to get the visa one day before my trip. Phew!

The air pollution is not that serious than  I thought, at least I saw sunset and blue sky in my short stay

Quite lucky to have upgraded to executive floor. But they address me "Alice Chan" in the welcome card. :S

Good morning Beijing. I just realized my room is facing creative CCTV tower before I checked out. How hilarious! I did not even open the curtain last night, as I went straight to bed after client dinner

I ordered fried noodles as my breakfast but the portion is big enough for 3 girls

Finally, I am heading back to lovely Hong Kong without any flight delay. 24 hours in Beijing is long for me already, hope to get away from the dryness and dust ASAP.
