The moment after this shot

We took this picture while we are entering the West Kowloon district. It's so unlucky that we were caught by policemen patrolling there. We were scolded seriously for stopping the car in the middle of the road though the whole area was deserted. Luckily, we did not get the ticket in the end... The experience is totally terrifying.

Swiss Night

Following an Italian dinner out, we celebrated my sister's birthday at the Swiss restaurant and having cheese fondue. That's another great experience though we had not been to Switzerland except our sister Dawn.
Cannot imagine we did not take any group picture in the end.
Love the embroidery table mat. So Swiss.

Love this cheese fondue with spinach

Authentic Pizzeria in Hong Kong

When it was opened a while ago, i saw some great PR coverage in the magazine. I told myself that we have to go there to try if we can get the same pizza we got in Italy.

Ah Lun picked me up from work at 7ish this Monday night (March 26), and suggested that we should go for pizza in Sheung Wan. He could not find the restaurant in his mind after a few rounds of searching, so i suggested that we should go to Pizzeria JacoMax.

There were not much people because it's quite late that time. I am not surprised we are the only Chinese customers there. I believe the Italian ingredients has made the pizza authentic. OMG we enjoyed every dish so much.

There is even a scooter outside the shop. It's so Italian.

We ordered two baby pizza, but Ah Lun said he would like to order a big one.
Let's do it next time.

2012 Business Trip #1 - Singapore (March 21-23)

It was a hectic Q1 2012. Things do not slow down for a minute. I cannot imagine that my blog was left unattended for such a long time. Finally, i got some quiet time to sit down and update my blog.

The annual mega roadshow took place on March 20 in Hong Kong and March 22 in Singapore. The Hong Kong event at The Mira was really good. Thanks to an user-friendly set up and excellent operations team, the event was ended with resounding success.

With such a great start in Hong Kong, the event in Singapore could not meet up everyone's expectation. We booked Marina Bay Sands as most of the hotels were full. However, it proved that this is a completely wrong choice. The venue is so big that you cannot mobilize the staff to complete a simple task in a timely manner. The attitude of staff is another issue. They are not helpful at all and asked for money for some really standard items we expected to be in the package.

Anyway, we learn to improve every year, and let's hope for a perfect roadshow next year.

Checking into The Mira Hong Kong on March 19 for the very first time. Just a very simple room which is good but i don't get any view of Nathan Road!!!

Genuine interests from the travel trade.
The finger food have kept them in the room for so long. :)

OK, finally checking into Marina Bay Sands. This is my view, heard that this is the new botanical garden which is not yet completed.

The room is very basic, just like many other family resorts.
The balcony was too big for me though. It's actually the 2/3 of the bedroom size.

Going out for dinner after event set up and we just happened to see the laser show at Marina Bay. It's a bonus.

OK. We kept coming back to the Marina Bay Mall for food. We had dinner at TWG there. There's no way to get a table in Hong Kong, let's dine in Singapore.

Salad for me, as it's close to 9pm.

But after having the dinner, how can we miss the dessert?!

After the event finished, we went to Chatterbox to have my favourite Chicken Rice.
The girls love this too,

On the last evening, we had dinner with client at Mozza which is a very nice and expensive Italian restaurant. The wagyu beef is really amazing. I also saw some nice tropical flowers there. Have not seen it in other places!

Fab Macaroon Class in Feb

Oh I just realized that i did not put up the photos of macaroon class with my colleagues in my blog. That's truly memorable and should be in my diary.

As G loves macaroon so much, i thought of giving away a macaroon class to her as a birthday gift. She previously mentioned her interest in joining this, but yet she has not joined a class until then.

Despite of having attended the first class with BFF, I still wanted to do this again because i was attracted to the rilakkuma macaroons Flavors the cooking school has made. Apart from the Dubai team, part of the finance team wanted to join as well, so 6 of us had a fun night at Flavors.

I really enjoy making the macaroons because i treat this as an art class instead of cookery class. It's so satisfying to see all the bears come out in life. It's a tiring session but feeling good!

They have introduced this mat with circles, so this will guide us to make macaroons in similar sizes.
After a couple of hours, the bears are born! The decorative thing are chocolate in different colours.
Haha, with Rocky's help, i have made the world's smallest macaroon in bear shaped.
Ah Lun can't wait to eat all of them. I call it 天與地之人食熊
He ate them in a second, but he did not know that it took so long to prepare them....sobbing

March 17 - It's such a long day!

8am Kailan secretly ate 5 delicious chocolates from Dubai! They are really rich!!!!
In the next two hours, we kept feeding her water and dog food hoping to dilute the toxic level of chocolate.
11:30am I called our vet. We rushed to meifoo to see Dr George. But this time, he is really not helpful.
We were suggested to get Kailan hospitalized. After a few calls, we finally get a slot at animal hospital.
1:30pm Kailan got an injection so she threw up almost everything. She stayed at the hospital for half day in the end.
2pm i rushed back to home to get changed for work; Lun went direct to work
3:30pm I gotta meet my colleagues at an event.
Lun picked up tiring Kailan at 6:30pm
While I worked at a client event until 12 ish midnight.
But after such a long day, I am so glad to see Kailan sleeping peacefully:)

Kailan Bento

My first ever trial of making an edible Kailan!!!
Recently, I had been reading articles about beautiful bento on newspaper. The idea of making a Kailan bento popped up in my mind for some time, but I did not have time to make it happen. Last Sunday, I finally spent some time to materialize my wish. Looks like the final product is well received by my Facebook friends and the one who has eaten Kailan.

TREE cabinet arrived :)

Just love it. It's such a great lifetime investment. We had no regret...though it cost us a lot a lot...

Work hard work hard!

Eye opening experience

Client's CEO visited Hong Kong this week, making us terribly busy. Despite of the busy work, it's a memorable experience because we had facilitated the Bloomberg media interview. Great exposure for client!!

4 years

Amazing! I worked at Weber Shandwick for 4 years. I joined on March 2007 after the restructuring at Octagon.
These are all my work note books collected since i started working here. I don't want to throw them away, and hopefully, my collection will grow continuously.
