Business Trip - Beijing (Nov 21-22)

My trip was less than 24 hours in Beijing. But our trip was quite lucky anyway, and I cannot complain. 

Lucky enough to get the visa one day before my trip. Phew!

The air pollution is not that serious than  I thought, at least I saw sunset and blue sky in my short stay

Quite lucky to have upgraded to executive floor. But they address me "Alice Chan" in the welcome card. :S

Good morning Beijing. I just realized my room is facing creative CCTV tower before I checked out. How hilarious! I did not even open the curtain last night, as I went straight to bed after client dinner

I ordered fried noodles as my breakfast but the portion is big enough for 3 girls

Finally, I am heading back to lovely Hong Kong without any flight delay. 24 hours in Beijing is long for me already, hope to get away from the dryness and dust ASAP.

Flora's Birthday Dinner

We had it at Ruby Tuesday again, and its so cheap to have so much food with the girls. The bill was just HKD11xx. Amazing! 

Veston was with us that evening, and he was such a well behaved kid. He only cried when he felt sleepy. 

Lots of laughters during the night. Ah yea wanted to test veston on all the extreme senses, eg cold and hot, and also wanting to test her eye by putting the knife between veston's fingers. 

In the end, we suggested Donna to talk more with veston. For example, in the morning, "welcome onboard. This is captain Viggo chan, thank you for flying with us. The temperature is 25 degrees....."

It's really hilarious! I love my BFFs. 

Ah Yea's Wedding (20 Oct 2013)

Taken too many photos but have not got time to post them. It's a long but fun day.  Thank you for the emcee who had given us lots of jokes. My eyes were so tired as we kept rolling our eyes when he said something not funny or something so close to offensive.

Ah yea was very busy pouring tea during the evening, so we did not take many pictures. Food is good in Langham as usual. 

By the way, want to highlight that fitting is so important. Looks like i have lost 5 pounds after the dress fitting. These money should be spent!

Visit by JC and Ton Ton

Joanne has not been to my place to see Kailan, so she and Anton are coming over for dinner on 12/11. 

Since Joanne could not touch Kailan, so she could not pat my dog. But Kailan is a dog who needs lots of love, she was a bit confused and started to think JC is an enemy. Kailan jumped up and bite JC. But luckily she was protected from her clothes, and did not get hurt. 

Finally Anton is arriving and taming my dog. Kailan became calm later and was very well behaved as Anton kept holding her comfortably. Being Kailan's master, I am quite surprised that Kailan was so close to Anton. Anton is amazing because she knows how to entertain my dog. Afterall, my dog wants all the attention! She is such a good girl after the first hour. 

Food-wise, we had a nice dinner. They got some sushi, and Anton cooked a few dishes. Of course, we have desserts, fruit and wine too. 

We had such a long dinner, and they are leaving at 11pm, what a great gathering! I wish I had a bigger home that I can organize these kid of dinner more often.

Is that my dog?

Kailan felt not so alright after being picked up from the dog hotel after our Kenting holiday. We chose another dog hotel because the one she used to stay is full. The key learning here is to book the dog hotel before booking our air tickets. 

Kailan's face suddenly got swollen on Nov 2 morning. Ah Lun yelled so loud that morning, so I need to rush out to see what has happened. I was totally shocked because she did not look like her at all. She is so swollen that she could not even open her eyes big enough. 

It's a terrible and frightening moment. I quickly get changed and took her to the hospital. It's 7:30am when I arrived the hospital. She got an injection and some medication for the next few days. 

She is such a frequent visitor of the hospital. Sigh! 

Zara Home is opened in HK

I have got a few frames, small accessories and one blanket from Zara home Dubai. I made sure visiting the shop if I am in Dubai and this happened since 2008/2009. 

I was so thrilled to know the shop's opening in Hong Kong. Ah yea initiated the shopping tour, so here we go. 

The shop is really big, I m quite sure they will get good business here in HK. 

Anton bought a nice Christmas decor, and I bought a small cushion and a home fragrance with white jasmine scent. 

Some of the collections are too grand to me, but there are always some rugged and stylish homeware to fit my deco style. 

It's located just one level up of COS, so shopping in Gateway is getting more fun.

The white cushion is just sold at $99 (cover) + $59 (cushion). The fragrance bottle looks too pretty that I cannot resist. 

Healthy snacks

I have made some of these as light dinners lately. 

Stuffed portabella mushrooms with union and tuna fish 

I don't have other cheese so have to use this. But I can cut it into flower shape to make it fun. 

On a random Monday when Ah Lun is working and I am also working late after work, I need to prepare my dinner on my own. It's already after 9pm, so I wanted to have something light. I created this yummy smoked salmon rice cake.
