Family Travel & Last Trip in 2009 - Part 1

Last year, only Dawn and I travelled to Macau with our parents. This year, we have Kitty, Carson & May. As Ah Lun has to take care of the home decoration project and Ms Kailan, he decided not joining us in the end.
The most impressive feeling about the trip is I did not feel hungry at all in this 3D2N trip, and we had Peking Ducks for two consecutive nights, how great is that!
The saddest thing happened in the trip was about 72-yr old Dad's serious injuries after falling down from the 7-seater van. Due to his eye illness lately, he fell down from the car. Looking at the positive side, his bones were not twisted and we got some really great help from the local driver. Who needs hire car contacts in Guangzhou, please let me know.

Christmas Party on 23 Dec

This is the second year we organized the gift exchange game. To increase the difficulty, we have created a list of unwanted gifts which bascially covers everything!! This makes christmas shopping more fun! The list will be getting longer and longer as time goes by, and we will soon have nothing to buy in 5 years or so.

The party was fun as usual , with Anton who has recently got serious illusions. One of her remarkable jokes was: 我好耐都未食過lobsters......上一次是冬至 (ie. one day before our gathering. :S)

The party was concluded with some exciting news from Ball Ball! So I look forward to seeing Ah Yea's car door being removed in June next year.

First Christmas with Kailan

Kailan does not know what is Christmas, but she just knew that we gave her some good time on this special day. We took her with us for the family BBQ in Shing Mun Reservoir on Dec 25, 2009.

Puppy Kailan felt overwhelmed with this outing, and kept running around and following strangers to places afar!!!

We wasted Kailan's endless energy by some running exercises, and obviously she enjoyed that very much and she actually looked like "flying" instead of running. :)

Jiu Zhai + Chengdu (Nov 20 - 26)

It's been one month after our family trip to Jiu Zhai. We have received our group photos from Cici and Jeffrey last night. These photos have reminded us again the fun we had there. We laughed so much during the 6-day trip, the silly jokes just never ended. We do look forward to travelling together again in the future.

This is our tour guide, Xiu Song, who is the most helpful guide i have ever seen.

We had so many spinning photos, and we could not stop laughing! hahahah!

Surprise!!

I always enjoy surprises! Either i plan for it or i am part of the surprise!
When I knew that there is a surprise party for Carol, i confirmed my attendance right away. Just thinking about the idea is so much fun.
All of her friends arrived the venue (Pala / Lan Kwai Fong) on time on Dec 13 (Sun), and we were so excited to see her surprise look. To our surprise, she was quite calm and started very slowly to know that it is a party for her!
My attendance had made her day. A big thank you to Annie who took care of the venue coordination very last minute and Shelley who invited all her friends.

Shelley made an excuse and asked Carol to come along with her. :)

After some while, she realized that this is a surprise birthday party.

I like the candle! it's so lucky that we did not burn the restaurant.

Life is short

My colleague, Jo, passed away on Sunday morning due to a heart attack. All of a sudden, someone you bumped into the lift and chatted in the pantry or in the washroom disappear from your life.
Though she is not in our team, we sat together in the Christmas Party last Friday by fate. We were still learning how to play poker on Friday night together, and she almost won the table prize. It was so difficult to digest this news and no one is prepared to get hit by this sorrowful news. The office is so quiet today, because everyone's heart sank like a heavy stone.

There is a chance that we or our loved ones could pass away on any particular day, so you have to love your families and friends in a generous way, don't forget to show your love to them.
