2010 Business Trip #2 - Taipei (Day 4)

I was leaving Taipei for Hong Kong on Thursday. I bought some really great music from the Taipei Airport. I just sat there for 30 mins sampling the songs with my ears. This time, i am not sampling the pineapple cake at the Duty Free Shop! Here are those 3 CDs i have bought:
Naomi & Goro / Home (2 Japanese girls singing French) Las Escarlatina / Al Galope (a vary passionate girl band made up of 4 Spainish girls; well, i always like Spain) The Melody (A Korean band)
I bought all of them because i am afraid i cannot get them in Hong Kong. We like Taiwan because we can always get some inspirations (cultural or arts) here. It's very refreshing for our spiritual mind.

2010 Buisness Trip #2 - Taipei (Day 3)

Another local Taiwanese restaurant I tried today with Emirates Taiwan representative. As their name shows, they are chicken specialist. Apart from the signature 3-colour chicken dish, I also love the fried oyster roll too, something like the spring roll we eat in Hong Kong.
I also went to the industrial zone (similar to Kwun Tong in HK) after work to find out a specialty leather craft shop. They sell all types of tools and craft materials. I bought so many stuff, and we are going to have some more experiemnts on our leather craft hobby very soon. Stay tuned.

2010 Business Trip #2 - Taipei (Day 2)

I love Taipei, this is the place where i always enjoy going out on my own after work. I may prefer to stay at the hotel room if i am on business trips to other places.

I love Taipei, this is the place where i can find good food anywhere. My business partner has brought me to this local store for seafood tonight. The setting is like the Dai Pai Dong in Hong Kong. The store is just by the road (i don't mind it actually), and we can feel some fresh air after the heavy rain. We had some good seafood there.

I love Taipei, this is the place where i can find good books. I got one photography book from a female Chinese blogger. Ah Lun got to know this from her blog, but we could not find it in Mongkok's specialty photography bookstore. I finally got it here easily, because it is on the bookstore's rank, No. 9.

We can just pick the seafood there, and pick a cooking style suggested by the waitress. According to Jo, they were hawkers selling seafood at the public park across the road. They finally got a proper store after getting high popularity. The business has been transformed into a 3-storey high empire!

Shopping at elite book store's largest branch near the Taipei 101 area after dinner. Trendy stuff can also be found in this 5-storey mall. I got a 925 silver long necklace from a local designer, i think this is very minimal and i love it 200%. I always ask myself why i will end up shopping "something" in my business trips, and i am actually spending more $ than i am in HK.

2010 Business Trip #2 - Taipei (Day 1)

I have sadly left sunny Hong Kong, but just arrived rainy Taipei. The rain in Taipei was so heavy today, and i start worrying about the attendance of the seminar tomorrow. Let's keep my fingers' crossed for the moment.
This is my first time to stay with The Westin Taipei, the hotel is so-far-so-good. I am quite suprised i do not get wifi in-room, though. I am only given a password at the hotel lobby! That's all for today. Well, it is time to experience The Westin's signature - heavenly bed.

Is this Hong Kong???

This was taken on my way to the airport. You know what, when I left home at 1030, heavy downpour was found in tsing yi (I am talking really really heavy rain like red rain warning!). After I crossed the bridge, I saw this blue sky!! It's ridiculous to see this scene while my trousers and my suitcase were all wet.
