Sunday (Nov 8)

A typical Sunday morning

Drinking milk with banana, so tasty! 

Her private play time. Making the home very messy. 

We only had a short meeting with Daddy. Let's make most out of it.

After her nap, I took her out to attend another baby's birthday party. She's born exactly one day after Megan. I did not take picture with the new born baby with my phone though. But I met up with  Ah Lun's secondary school friend. 

Sunday is such a busy day, coz I need to cook. Today she's having macaroni with salmon in white sauce. It's really yum. 

The baby behind is throwing tantrums haha! 

Ah Lun could rush home to help me bathe Megan. What a great news. And he cooked me noodles after that. 

I know his day was also very long, so I have been grateful for his help. 

Saturday (Nov 7)

Morning walk with me. Basically accompanying me to have breakfast! 

She has long legs, like daddy. 

Getting more confidence in walking now. 

Going back to her stroller to get a sense of security 

She's a robber! Stealing in action. 

Ready to go out again after the 2-hour nap. 

We feel so blessed that this little lady loves drinking water.

It's our turn for lunch. But still her yogurt feed came earlier than our lunch. 

That dirty mouth is cute. 

It's daddy's turn to eat. 

One of our missions in this shopping trip is to buy a story book for daddy so he can read stories for Megan. But megan loves book so much that we can hardly take it back. This is so heavy and you cannot underestimate a baby's strength. 

We were given a balloon when we waive our parking fees at the concierge. This baby was too excited.

Today, it's her 13month birthday. She became so confident in walking in the past 4 weeks. She had a taste of freedom with walking. So happy for her! 

It's also 100 days birthday for Scarlett. We were given a large portion of her birthday cake. 

Ah Lun was so happy with the dessert there. Nice cakes indeed. Especially the banana cake. 

As we were so full on Sat night, we save the cake for Sunday. We were so impressed because it's not too sweet and it's so rich in chocolate flavours. It's better than cakes from hotel cake shops. 

It's a long eventful day. My heart is full because I spent my time with the ones I loved today. 

Halloween outfit making - salmon sushi (2015)

I wanted to make one for megan instead of buying the ready made ones. I am not sure if I still have the energy and interest to do this next year, but at least do it this year. 

I picked three designs for Ah Lun's comments. He picked sushi instead of octopus and strawberry. I would need a buy a white body suit from H&M first. And then I bought an orange pillow cover to be salmon. I just need some white tapes and a black cloth, that's all. 

Everything is ready. It's needlework class at 9pm. 

Tin Tin is also very interested to help. She helped me to make the big pillow cover fitting the small pillow. 

Mommy is proud but tired, time to go to bed after intensive sewing.

The sushi is playing by herself

Kailan: you smell good

Good idea to start from the rear part of sushi. 

We should have put the cushion higher to offset the gravity of cushion. Hopefully, I will get more experienced next year. 

Chubby feet

I fall in love with this in first sight. I bought this while I was still pregnant. I bought this when I knew I had to wait at least one year because they don't have new born size. 

They look really cute in Megan's chubby feet. They are from Seed Heritage. 

By the way, we laid out the tiny blanket for Megan to sit down. In just a split of a second, Kailan occupied the mat. 

You can see Megan is already sitting on the tile floor. 

Kailan was watching the two new dogs on Megan's feet. 

IKEA buffet

I have to do another home upgrade to create a play area for Megan. So we can set up a kid table and chair set in our tiny living room for her. 

Ah Lun suggested to find an affordable solution at IKEA. Comparing with a quote I have got from a nice shop, I have saved $15,000 from Ikea. 

After bathing Megan, we drove to Ikea ASAP. Their canteen is packed with people. Ah Lun always enjoyed eating a lot at IKEA. Our order was $240 in total but we had all the dishes on the menu except 3 items. We were sitting next to a young guy who's on diet having salad. Poor him, watching Ah Lun eat in bulk.

First hotpot this year

Ah Lun was super busy last week. Finally, I got my chauffeur service after work. XDDDD. 

Tonight, we decided to go out for a hotpot date night very last minute after bathing Megan. When Ah Lun was busy, he did not eat well or did not eat at all. Hotpot food like this is making him happy as a kid. 

Life is getting simpler and happier. I still enjoyed chatting with him like we first met in 1999. 

There was a couple sitting next to us. The lady is pregnant but her husband did not talk to her. They just ate and played with phone. That's quite tragic but common nowadays. I hope they will bring up the baby in a happy environment. 

Sunday (Nov 1)

Megan and I did not go too far this Sunday as Daddy's busy working during weekends in Q4 as usual. 

It's a big challenge for me as Megan started to walk and she's more mobile than before. 

Sunday is a long day! The most tricky part of the day is meal time. 

Megan did not feed Kailan as much as before. May be that food sharing with Kailan has gradually passed. 

She loves grapes lately. 

I fed her lunch at 11:30am and she accompanied me to the restaurant to have lunch at 3:30pm. We are great company! Sometimes I just thought I m taking picture with Ah Lun. She's so well behaved in the restaurant and I am so blessed. 

Having a walk at Tsing Yi Park on our way home. She was chasing pigeons. 

Let it go! Let it go! She refused to hold my hand.

Perfect weather! Breezy and sunny! 

This outfit is one of my favourites. 

This pair of Zara jeans is really cool. Functional too, as they protect Megan's knees if she falls down. 

 

Megan's first playgroup

I have decided to let Megan joining playgroup after she can walk. 

Finally today is THE day! 

Megan took some time to get herself warmed up in the new environment. There are so many toys, don't know where to start...

The mirror tent behind is so much fun! 

We were the first one arriving there. So the place looks spacious. 

Another beautiful area! Lots of wooden toys. 

The one-hour class flies quickly. Mommy gets tired with all the sensory play and dancing...

Megan looked extremely stimulated and enjoyed the playtime. So after the class, we did join the package so Megan will be coming here every Saturday at 10am. 

She was so tired like we were working on the first day!! She slept on the taxi back home. Lunch was delayed and lunch nap was a bit affected. 

After the nap, mom is taking her to Connie's place which is another playgroup! Amazing volume of toys. 

Megan kept playing the similar toys she played at home. Haha. Megan, you should play something new.

Wake up at 6:15am everyday to make sure she sees me the first thing in the morning. 

Rushing home at 6pm to bathe her at 7pm is to make sure I am the last one to put her to bed. 

A working mom is never easy. Sleep deprivation never solved since Megan's born.
