Wednesday Date #14

I forgot to take any pictures this Wednesday. We just had some shanghaiese food in Cheung Sha Wan on our weekly date night. 

Friday, I proposed going out for another date again. We finished dinner at home and then we drove to K11 for dessert. It's so good that Megan goes to sleep early. We still have so much dating time. Just love it. 

It's Friday night. The car park is full and the streets are parked with cars. After driving for one round, we got a space right in front of K11. How lucky!! 

I invited Ah Lun to take a selfie, and he was pretending shy.

My order is tiramisu pancakes. Nice

Extra date in the week

It's Thursday and we went to attend a seminar together in Cheung Sha Wan. It's like another date, how good is it. 

Look at the old school stationary shop behind, this is where we bought Megan's cooking kit. 

First time I have seen such a tiny kitchen set that's even portable. I am so happy as I could save the space for the easel. After all, the value of an easel is higher than that of a full kitchen set. Most kids will use the easel for drawing, writing or calculating for a few years. 

Watch out the fire.

She always says "mama is cooking" "papa is cooking" recently, so this is the perfect you for Megan at this stage. 

Breakfast with Megan

I am always in a rush but I always wanted to arrange breakfast session with Megan. Today we made it happen. 

She had a big breakfast - bread, pear, milk. Me having eggs and kiwi and half of my kiwi was in Megan's tummy. :(

She's extremely happy with the new arrangement. But she's cutting her milk intake gradually...

Kailan is hoping to get one bite from two of us. Megan dropped a piece of bread accidentally, so Kailan's waiting was all worthwhile. 

Sunday (Aug 14)

We are meeting my family at Starbucks. 

She's refusing to sit in high chair. Now, she wants to be an adult,sitting in the adult chair. 

She took the straw from the bottle to suck the juice from the toast. Any bread juice on earth?

Dawn dawn was winning her heart close to the end of gathering. 

It's supposed to be a sweet moment.

She picked her nose in the next second. 

After the lunch nap, I thought of taking her out by myself as Ah Lun had to work later in the afternoon. So I set up a painting session for Megan. 

Daddy joined and played with Megan. 

That's great. 

I like the fact that Kailan was not interested at all. 

Daddy used up all the space on the paper!! 

It's really hard to keep her entertained now. I used so many tools - water colour followed by two more kinds of crayons. Used the milk bottle cap as a stamp, and also sponge and paint brush. Finally, stickers!! 

It's a super colorful painting. Let's take a picture as our memories. 

When we were playing with stickers, we involved Kailan too, in a cheeky way. 

She also put a lot on her body. She once put them on her cheeks and hair, but I could not capture the moment. Too bad. 

After this art session, I was home alone and looked after baby's dinner and shower. Very easy to handle baby as she ate a lot and she did not want me to feed her. As she's acting slow, so I still fed her in a fun way to make the meal time shorter and happier. 

After the trip to Phuket, we introduced shower instead of bathing. It's warm rain in the tub, that's what we called. She really enjoyed raining. Shower is much easier for me if no one is offering help to me. 

It's a long day for me again. After having dinner with Ah Lun, I started to work from 9pm until 1:30pm. The bitter part of a working mom's life. I am so sleepy now. 

Sunday (Aug 21)

Yay! We are having our first ever family lunch buffet. As you know, Megan usually has a lunch nap from 12-2pm. But Ah Lun approves her skipping lunch today. What a fun day for me and Megan. 

We were settling down at 1145, and we were killing time by drawing. She loves to ask mama to draw her a fish. 

After all she's a toddler so we do not have a 100% peaceful lunch. She was really really good sitting in the chair eating her meal. But after that, she wanted to be out immediately. That's the hard part. 

It's not her first time. She loves lemon and eaten one piece without any unusual facial expression. 

Eaten it all. 

Such a lovely family lunch! We treasure it.

After we left, Megan fall into sleep once we started the engine. She had a 30min nap but it did not affect her evening sleep. We put her to sleep 30 mins earlier to compensate the loss of lunch nap. She's really having a super fun day. 

Saturday (Aug 20)

There's one new addition to her play area. That's the easel, with one said blackboard and the other side the white board. Both sides are magnetic! 

It's from Taobao, costing RMB105, with HK30 delivery charges. 

I like its petite size that fits into my mini play area. 

The shop gave away a lot of plastic magnets and pens. But from their outlook, we queried the quality and they may have harmful chemicals. So what we used are magnetic books and crayons right now. 

Finally we can use the white crayons. Haha. Megan is cleaning it. 

Btw. The height of easel can be adjusted to fit the user's height. Love the idea, as I love using the goods for a long time.

By the way, Megan wanted to sit on the chair at the playgroup finally. It took her so long to sit independently. Mommy feeling relieved and happy! 

Wednesday Date #13 - rescheduled to Tuesday

As Ah Lun needs to work on Wednesday, we decided to meet on Tuesday night so I can spend sometime to work in the office as well. 

We needed this as we had been so busy with baby during the trip. My workload has been crazy lately as well since I had one biz trip and one personal trip in two weeks. 

It's raining last night, so it's very romantic to walk with Ah Lun on the way. It's been a long time we do not walk under the rain, just the two of us, in the evening. Thank you rain! 

We are having burger at The Butcher's Club at Quarry Bay. The shop is quiet. The burgers are tasty but they are expensive. 

The size fits me, but not Ah Lun. But if we buy one more burger, it will cost us $140. We ended up spending some more time at Starbucks chatting about Ah Lun's favorite novel writer. 

Our first family holiday - Phuket (Aug 2016) -Day 4

We are leaving today and we had to wake up early to catch the flight. Thus we had a chance to see the morning sun right above the pool on the way to restaurant.

Finally we are on the car to the airport. The hyperactive toddler immediately fell asleep. Daddy was holding her head but I am sure he's feeling sweet from the bottom of his heart. 

Recharging! Look at this angel. She was a monster 5 mins ago. 

Never a still moment at the airport, as expected. Don't mention the meltdown on the plane plus the poo poo during the flight. We insisted not to give her the phone or iPad to play, so this is what we expected and she's actually doing quite well given that she did not own enough space on the plane.
