Flipping through my photo album in Oct, there were a lot of work related stuff. But still Megan had a brilliant month before she started school in Nov. 

Role playing in the morning. Kailan is just sitting next to her. How sweet! 

We were going to the playgroup at Cannan. So playing at the triangle park in Kowloon Tong is our routine. 

Megan is always a chubby baby though my lower back does not like her weight! 

Halloween is also the key highlight in Oct. Megan loves "wheels on the bus" so much that we made the bus for her. The smaller bus was made earlier by Tin Tin. We continue to up cycle our online shopping boxes, so cool. 

I drew all her friends and put them onto the bus. After that she brought all her friends to sit next to the drawing. So cute. 

We suddenly wanted to take the pictures in front of the blue factory building. They are so nice. 

Omg! I almost forgot visiting the zoological garden in late Oct. my blog is so helpful to remind me all the great memories. Well, I really need to record everything.

There were so much more great family pictures in my phone but I have to do this briefly so I can catch up with my blogs.

Re-start!

I don't know why google refused to update the blogger app. I have been using this app to upload my blogs while I am traveling to work on MTR.

I tried to search any solutions online but people say that the app will never get updated. I was so upset in Oct. With the heaviest amount of work and business travel in Oct and Nov, I cannot afford time to fix this.

Until today, ah yea asked me about my blog. Ah Lun also reminded me a few times in the last two months. So I visited my blog again and there's so much lovely updates of our baby girl. It's so regretful if I just stop here. So I decided to pick up writing my blog again.

Let's see if I am getting used to the blog update via email. Fingers crossed. After all, change is not easy for old people like me. :(

堅持

This is exactly what we have been doing for the last two years. As the writer said, it's really hard and there were so much sacrifice. We seldom had family dinners in the last two years, if we wanted it together, we did it at 4ish pm over the weekend. 

Megan is now sleeping from 7:30pm to 6:30am, plus 12-2pm lunch nap. Occasionally she's just singing in her room at the lunch nap, we did not force her to sleep. I really wish she can skip her lunch nap one day and we can explore more places together.

孩子要養成懷習慣很快，需要糾正過來卻往往需要很多的心力。你的孩子有沒有在暑假慣了晚睡，今天都還未習慣早起上學？我有許多朋友一提起都叫苦連天「我瞓佢都未瞓！」，這時候他們總羨慕我，能夠奉行「朝7晚7」主義，但其實要實踐這教條一點也不容易。

光是睡房的設置就要花很多心思，那不是要加點什麼佈置，反而是要「斷捨離」，不放太多玩具或容易令孩子分心的物件在房內，把睡房造成一個只是休息和睡覺的地方。然後每天我都定時定候催促G仔上床去，難題在於一旦孩子要早睡，許多活動都要提早進行，像7點要睡，他就得5時半沖涼然後6時食晚飯，便得準備睡前的事宜，說說故事，讓他慢慢放鬆和逐步準備睡眠的狀態，這確是全職媽媽的「專利」。我有在職朋友會趕緊7時前先回家和小朋友講睡前故事和放小朋友睡覺，然後小朋友睡著後再繼續做從公司帶回家的工作。

只是這樣看似「奢侈」的生活，也不是沒有犧牲的，特別是我老公。每晚他回家的時候，G仔便已經睡了，他們父子二人──應該說是我們仨——都甚少共饗晚餐，真是這些回憶不屬於我們的，還有屋企人和朋友的晚飯聚會更是沒有G仔份。我跟老公也曾經試過讓G仔晚睡，結果隔天，他不但精力不足，心神有點散渙，連情緒和脾氣也都變得很壞，這正正是作息打亂了的惡果。所以我跟老公都有共識，在G仔的作息上我們絕不退讓，而我很感激的家人和朋友都很體諒我的堅持，知道如要與G仔見面便要在晚上7時前。

現在為了孩子，老公只好每朝都早點起身，爭取時間和G仔有親子時間才上班，雖然我們未能一齊食晚飯，但一齊食早餐的短短一小時，因為大家都剛睡個飽滿，更有精力，也因為相處時間不多，老公更加珍惜這些寶貴的快樂時光。看到爸爸媽媽都是早睡早起，我相信這是對G仔最好的身教。以前做女的時候，返工遲遲都唔願起身，確實沒有想到會「朝7晚11」。但現在想到以前其他做父母的同事早到公司，盡快做完手上的工作早點回家的原因，便知道身為父母的犧牲。不過說是犧牲呢，一家人現在珍惜把活動調較早點進行，享受陽光的一天，而我和老公在G仔瞓覺後更有些私人時間，其實又有得著，我很感謝我老公一直以來的配合。

Megan's 2nd Birthday (Part 3)

Celebrating with my families is the last part of the story.

My second eldest sister ordered Megan a special cake from Raymond's sister who has been am amateur baker. Very professional cake!

Everyone is enjoying the cake, except Kailan. she is looking for opportunity if someone is dropping a piece of fruit or cake crumbs. 

Megan's 2nd Birthday (Part 2)

I have invited the BFFs to come over for a picnic to celebrate Megan's second birthday. We were blessed with the good weather, sunny and breezy. So lucky!!!

Though the weather was perfect on Oct 10, Megan kicked off the party with her stormy emotions.
Megan was throwing serious tantrums since one week before her second birthday. That's indeed very scary, especially i am an impatient mom. Like all the hurdles we have overcome, we are looking at ways to pass through this drastic change. Books, google, FB discussions...

She successfully got everyone's attention on that day as she was losing control, and this stubborn girl was really persistent. We ended up cooling her down by the water and let her lying on the floor and had a complete meltdown. Afterwards, a big hug after all the drama, and she was OK after that.
There's no reason behind the lengthy meltdown, but obviously this is a frustration for her because she knew a lot of words but could not express them in a way to communicate her needs with us.

In the second part of the picnic, it was good as she was back to normal. She kept eating the cakes, and she opened three of them, and we always tried to finish them for her because we did not want her to eat so many cakes.

In conclusion, a very tiring day, but it's good to see the other BFF kids and had some fun together. We were so lucky as BFF aunties sent us awesome gifts. I am sharing the books one by one with her, otherwise, she is too overwhelmed.

Megan's 2nd Birthday (Part 1)

OMG! Time flies, and we have become parents for two full years. It's a bit touching to see this little girl to grow out of her many clothes.
On her birthday, we decided to keep things simple, and we took her to Gold Coast Beach for an hour or so. This was hers second visit to the beach, so she was at first a bit scared.
She is loving water so much now, and she yelled "changed"..."changed", she wanted to get changed, as we did before we visit the pool. She wanted her swimming suit, and of course i did not bring this along. We were kicking the waves in the end, and enjoyed some time by the water.

After dinner, Ah Lun delivered the homemade cake to her, and it's priceless to see her face full of expressions - a mix of all feelings, surprised, shy, excited, etc.

This was simple but that's the best!

She knew a lot of words and drew them on the drawing board. Tin tin is so kind to put the text next to it, so I knew what she had drawn in the day. It's so hilarious.

Whenever he's free, he will come to pick me up from work. Really appreciating what he's doing.

Sunday (Sep 4)

Today ah Lun will have marathon work for the Election Day. He had to work from 5am Sunday until 3pm Monday. It's such a long day for him. It means this Sunday I am all on my own again. No problem, mommy is planning something fun. 

Breakfast time. One butter toast for mama and one for Megan. 

Kailan kept asking for the bread. We have her some

When I started cooking at around 10:30am, Megan knows that and she will play on her own. Kailan is just sitting there, staying a distance from baby

Kailan, what are u doing there facing the wall? Day dreaming? 

Kailan just wants to stay with me instead of that little monster. 

Mama is cooking, so does she. 

She's washing the dishes

She just had a 30-min nap. But I let her stay in her room for nearly two hours, so both of us could take a rest before we go out

We went to DPark's indoor park to kill time. They have two girls who taught kids to do exercise. Obviously Megan is not interested. She's looking them from afar. 

There are lots of toys for the young toddlers.

Before meal time. Drawing for only a short time. Too bad

She dislikes scramble egg, may be that's the reason for the face. 

She could only eat hard boiled eggs. In the end lots of pasta was given to her. 

The children set is actually very cute! 

After the long day, we took taxi home. We had milk and a hot shower before mealtime. After that mama needs a break. I did not move at all on the sofa until 11pm. Just feeling too tired. 

Sep 24-25

Today, we were learning day and night at playgroup. Children just love to hold something with a stick. 

We had an easy Saturday. We did not do anything in the afternoon. 

On Sunday, Papa was working early in the morning and he came home after work at 9am. we went out to have a breakfast on together, that's great timing. 

Megan is so tall that people will think she's 3 yrs old. But she's still not yet turning two. I am also amazed by her height. 

She is so used to sit on the hip seat. She does not even hold papa tight. How much trust she's giving papa. Looks scary to me. 

Breakfast at Delifrance. Not good at all. 

She loves corn and mushroom. 

On the way home at Kwai Fong station, I asked, shall we take a passport photo? 

We used to do this when we were young dating. Why not doing these random thing together. I love Ah Lun that he will say yes in a second. 

So let's do something fun, after all it's  HKD50 only. 

In the afternoon, Megan was reading my travel magazines while I was cooking. 

She always pointed the cruise ships. 

Kailan knew that I have food, so she always eager to come in. 

Baked pasta

Baked broccoli tots. Saw that on FB and IG and I wanted to try it. 

So eager to see what's going on in the oven. 

It's so yummy she finished all. She really had a big appetite.
