When I worked for Sydney Tourism, we always brought media to coffee shops. I witnessed the making of latte art so long ago, so I really wanted to know how to make those lovely drawing with the silky milk foam.
7 of us joined the latte art workshop yesterday. Surprisingly, we did not use coffee to make the base. The organizer used ovaltine and chocolate as the base / canvas.
Sigh!!! No matter how we concentrate on the class and remember the steps, it's still very difficult to make one.
They taught us how to draw a heart and draw the classic leaf pattern. But we can only do that with the tutors' help. For the unsuccessful one, we can draw something on the foam with chocolate sauce. That's quite fun though. It's makes our failure sweeter.
Tutor holding my hand to make this heart. I just made it cuter by putting a face onto it.
This is drawn especially for Ah Yea who created the cartoon of Princess Lily (脷脷公主)
The signature of Princess Lily is having two tongues.
if we failed to make latte art, we will end up having a lot of milk foam on top.
It will be the best time to draw on the foam with chocolate sauce.
making of... a lion
