Milestone // Feeding herself

Wow. This has made my day really!! 

We really did not expect her to manage feeding herself the whole meal so early. Normally toddler feed themselves between 15-18m. Megan is now just 13m1w. 

May be due to the rice texture last night, she easily managed to use her spoon to feed herself. There's a chance that she forgets how to do it the next day though, haha. When we told Ah Lun after he's back, he's not believing it until we showed him the videos. 

Tin Tin was amazed by the love of food by Megan as his son did not like eating. 

Good job Megan! Love u.

Sunday (Nov 15)

As I will need to go with family to worship my Grandma on this Sunday morning, I felt I have missed out time to play with Megan, thus, I took her out for an early morning park visit. 

We greeted everyone on the street, she tried practicing hello and bye bye. 

We were so early. It's around 8:30am, there's one older baby with grandpa there. 

She kept walking for a long time. Leading me to where she wanted to be. 

Looking up to look for reassurance. This is so trivial but I find the mother daughter time precious. 

She loves chasing pigeons. There was one in the bush. 

This is the face of enjoying her first swing experience. 

Dim sum after nap. She's very excited and no longer crying when she sees grandma and grandpa. That has proven it's all about seperation anxiety, and its not about seeing enough people or not. 

Megan and her grandma, I think they look quite alike.

Baby, can I take a break? The weather was really good yesterday. But I was sweating because I was carrying a 10kg kid and a backpack with all her necessities. Wish Ah Lun was present this weekend. He was just too busy with the Porsche party and Henessy Party over the weekend. :( I totally understand and I m sure Ah Lun wanted to be there too. We all hate busy Q4. 

That's second hair cut in the salon. She's sitting on my lap instead of the kids seat in the shape of a car. 

Another long day for me and Megan. She fast asleep at 7:15pm. 

Saturday (Nov 14)

After the trial lesson two weeks ago, I think Megan is really enjoying seeing other babies. So we started playgroup from this weekend. 

As usual, we came early to get warmed up. This week, she's into the pool filled with different sizes of balls.

During the class, she was super high. She loves music so much and paid great attention to the teacher! 

In the second part of the class, it's messy play and sensory play. This week, we played with sand. In this section, they were always given spoon I realize. I think the programme aims to train up using the spoon. Megan played with the spoon and tasted some sands haha. Teacher said these are edible sand from Canada, so I was relieved. 

After some hard core playing, she took a cat nap on the way back. It's such a great adventure for Megan. 

Mom is super tired too, because I was the one who runs and dances with her. 

Fresh Milk

After Megan is one year old, I am struggling if I should continue feeding her formula milk. After some researches, it is proved that formula milk is a trap set up by the merchants and formula milk is too sweet for babies. 

After convincing Ah Lun, we are making a switch immediately for Megan. 

At first, we add mashed banana into the milk to encourage her drinking from the straw cup. She successfully drinks 100-120ml in her breakfast time. 

After two weeks, we have cut the banana  and she still drinks the milk. Well done. 

For the 5pm milk feed, it's 240ml. Hopefully she can completely switch it to straw cup even for this milk feed.

Sunday (Nov 8)

A typical Sunday morning

Drinking milk with banana, so tasty! 

Her private play time. Making the home very messy. 

We only had a short meeting with Daddy. Let's make most out of it. 

Funny scene. 

After her nap, I took her out to attend another baby's birthday party. She's born exactly one day after Megan. I did not take picture with the new born baby with my phone though. But I met up with  Ah Lun's secondary school friend. 

Sunday is such a busy day, coz I need to cook. Today she's having macaroni with salmon in white sauce. It's really yum. 

The baby behind is throwing tantrums haha! 

Ah Lun could rush home to help me bathe Megan. What a great news. And he cooked me noodles after that. 

I know his day was also very long, so I have been grateful for his help. 

Saturday (Nov 7)

Morning walk with me. Basically accompanying me to have breakfast! 

She has long legs, like daddy. 

Getting more confidence in walking now. 

Going back to her stroller to get a sense of security 

She's a robber! Stealing in action. 

Ready to go out again after the 2-hour nap. 

We feel so blessed that this little lady loves drinking water.

It's our turn for lunch. But still her yogurt feed came earlier than our lunch. 

That dirty mouth is cute. 

It's daddy's turn to eat. 

One of our missions in this shopping trip is to buy a story book for daddy so he can read stories for Megan. But megan loves book so much that we can hardly take it back. This is so heavy and you cannot underestimate a baby's strength. 

We were given a balloon when we waive our parking fees at the concierge. This baby was too excited.

Today, it's her 13month birthday. She became so confident in walking in the past 4 weeks. She had a taste of freedom with walking. So happy for her! 

It's also 100 days birthday for Scarlett. We were given a large portion of her birthday cake. 

Ah Lun was so happy with the dessert there. Nice cakes indeed. Especially the banana cake. 

As we were so full on Sat night, we save the cake for Sunday. We were so impressed because it's not too sweet and it's so rich in chocolate flavours. It's better than cakes from hotel cake shops. 

It's a long eventful day. My heart is full because I spent my time with the ones I loved today. 

Halloween outfit making - salmon sushi (2015)

I wanted to make one for megan instead of buying the ready made ones. I am not sure if I still have the energy and interest to do this next year, but at least do it this year. 

I picked three designs for Ah Lun's comments. He picked sushi instead of octopus and strawberry. I would need a buy a white body suit from H&M first. And then I bought an orange pillow cover to be salmon. I just need some white tapes and a black cloth, that's all. 

Everything is ready. It's needlework class at 9pm. 

Tin Tin is also very interested to help. She helped me to make the big pillow cover fitting the small pillow. 

Mommy is proud but tired, time to go to bed after intensive sewing.

Good idea to start from the rear part of sushi. 

We should have put the cushion higher to offset the gravity of cushion. Hopefully, I will get more experienced next year.
