I bought these silky crayons and they are so great. Megan does not have a lot of strengthen when she draws, but the colors are so vivid if she's using these crayons. 

She's more interested in drawing lately.

Kailan is always not interested in playing with her. 

Megan coincidentally met dawn dawn and Raymond at Starbucks. Dawn Dawn showed her video again and Megan recalled it. 

DIY tees

I always wanted to make new born tees for Megan. But I was too busy. Finally I got an opportunity to do this. 

Made three tees in one go. Two newborns and one toddler. 

My boss's baby. She's got really big eyes!!

She has a very bad hair day. Haha.

All babies love bread, and Megan is not exceptional. 

This morning, I am taking this girl to buy bread from the bakery shop at Maritime square. 

Then I am going to Starbucks for yoghurt. I hope Megan can eat some bread there. 

After more than 5 attempts (testing my EQ), Megan was sitting in the high chair finally. I was so relieved and feeling a great sense of achievement. 

Before visiting the park, both mommy and daughter have already sprayed the organic insect repellent. Last round, mommy got more than 20 small bites. The lessons learnt was too harsh. 

Today is probably the hottest day this summer. More than 35 degrees. 

Well, we cannot stay too long. It's surely too hot. Bye bye birdie. 

In the afternoon, she was very active in the playgroup but she was giving me an embarrassing time as she's the only kid not sitting in chair. In the end, I was sent out to the classroom as told by teacher, as a punishment for Megan. And Megan was really stubborn and she's not sitting in the end even after I am back. Alrighty, no food will be served if you are not sitting properly. 

My angel

The shoes we bought from gap are finally fitting her. She looks like a teenager now. 

Time flies, 2-3months vs 20months! Her chubby cheeks shrinked a little bit but the faces still look similar. 

Iced lollies for me

Hehe. I bought a funny lollipop case from shopbop. I asked TinTin to mix banana and milk, that's it. So healthy and yummy. 

Ah Lun does not allow me to feed Megan with iced lollies. So this is all for me this summer. 

Terrible 2 has officially come

Megan has started to show symptoms of Terrible 2 two weeks ago. In other words, she's too mature to start the terrible 2 more than 3 months before her second birthday. 

People says after they are one, they are different. I read books to welcome the change but I still think the changes are manageable and most cases are reasonable. 

But since mid June, there are some sharp changes......

It's really hard to understand where Megan is coming from. I bet she's clueless too. Poor her, she could not express herself completely and she wants autonomy at the same time. 

Once I gave birth, I said I wish I had more wisdom because being a mother has to be very creative in problem-solving. 

Now, the challenge is on and we had difficulties in the beginning. I quickly did a revision on all the books and researched online. Great that Ah Lun and Tin Tin are co-operative. 

Problem 1- refusing to follow the sleep routine

Megan refused to follow the plan. It's so tiring to direct her to do all the things in her contented way. It may be easy to force her, but you will end up in a power struggle and a tearful baby. 

We used controlled crying method once again, and she understands we are now not coming back to the bedroom after saying good night. Now she just cried for 3 mins and she played with her toys before drifting to sleep. 

Problem 2 - refusing to eat in high chair

I don't really care if she does not eat, so this is an easy problem to be solved. 

She just wanted to play a drama before mealtimes. 

We kept her in a naughty corner. After a while, she will say sorry mama sorry TinTin and she will come out to eat. Very often, she will change her mind again when we put her into the high chair, and we will go back to step one. Woohoo, problem solved. 

However, eating out is still a problem so we are still mastering the skills. Let's see. 

She has so many requests now, eg playing music while she's painting. Also music during meals. So we will let her make the call and pick the CD she likes. But for important issues like sleeping and eating, we are not giving in. 

Megan's desk

We got the solid wood table for Megan after the old one is broken down. Since the drawing paper roll does not fit the new table's measurement, ah Lun made some changes and fixed it to the new table. Thanks, it looks nice. 

Today, we bought the alphabets so Megan will start to learn her name. The fish ornaments look so nice, papa insisted to buy 3 pcs, one for everyone. 

July 1 - Public Holiday

Yeah long weekend!! But papa needs to work....ohhhh. 

Never mind, I will have fun with my baby. 

As I worked late last night, I could not meet her before bedtime. I woke up as early as normal work days, because I look so forward to meet her. 

She's so into puzzles these days. She plays with this while drinking her milk. 

Okie. We are ready to go out for breakfast. The jumpsuit is from next and it's not too expensive at all. But I am sure this will last for two summers at least. This a look mommy loves. 

If she's going out with me, she walks a lot. So after testing her 腳力 for a few weekends, I started to take her farther away. Kwai Fong hurray. 

Breakfast at Delifrance. Something new for her. 

She's in a good mood this week. She danced in the deserted mall. 

Kailan, what are you looking at? We are back, let's play together. 

After the lunch nap, I personally took her to D park in tsuen wan. Papa came to pick us up, so cool. 

Megan was so happy to find papa, and vice versa. 

We got a new toy tea set for Megan at the mall. She's really interested into pretend play. She played with it two times after tidying them up. 

Can you see Panda got all food? I have no idea why?! Chicken leg, lemon and watermelon. 

One of her favorite songs is little tea pot. Finally got her a tea pot.

Busy mommy feeding 4 animals. 

Such a happy day with my girl. 

BFF pool party

It's a challenge to come with a kid on your own. Ah Lun was required to work on that Sunday, so I have to bring Megan to join the pool party by myself. It's a new experience for me, as you have to pack a million things into the bag and carry a kid and a swimming ring at the same time. 

Megan needs to walk on shoes. Mommy fell down like Humpty Dumpty as she lost balance when she's putting on the shoes for Megan. 

This is the only picture we had. This captured all what happened in the next one hour. Megan, encountering separation anxiety these two weeks, was not letting me to leave her body an inch. 

In addition, she did not like the idea of swimming this summer. She was enjoying the swim last year very much. See the above photo for the transformation. 

After this group picture, Megan started to cry. 

What I can do is to dry her, change her, change myself and then feed her. Once she's having food, she's calmed immediately. She had a box of milk, cherries and some bread. 

Kate has been so great to accompany me all the time. Great to catch up with her on the taxi. 

By the way, it's a great party venue!! 5-star.
