Saturday (Aug 20)

There's one new addition to her play area. That's the easel, with one said blackboard and the other side the white board. Both sides are magnetic! 

It's from Taobao, costing RMB105, with HK30 delivery charges. 

I like its petite size that fits into my mini play area. 

The shop gave away a lot of plastic magnets and pens. But from their outlook, we queried the quality and they may have harmful chemicals. So what we used are magnetic books and crayons right now. 

Finally we can use the white crayons. Haha. Megan is cleaning it. 

Btw. The height of easel can be adjusted to fit the user's height. Love the idea, as I love using the goods for a long time.

By the way, Megan wanted to sit on the chair at the playgroup finally. It took her so long to sit independently. Mommy feeling relieved and happy! 

Wednesday Date #13 - rescheduled to Tuesday

As Ah Lun needs to work on Wednesday, we decided to meet on Tuesday night so I can spend sometime to work in the office as well. 

We needed this as we had been so busy with baby during the trip. My workload has been crazy lately as well since I had one biz trip and one personal trip in two weeks. 

It's raining last night, so it's very romantic to walk with Ah Lun on the way. It's been a long time we do not walk under the rain, just the two of us, in the evening. Thank you rain! 

We are having burger at The Butcher's Club at Quarry Bay. The shop is quiet. The burgers are tasty but they are expensive. 

The size fits me, but not Ah Lun. But if we buy one more burger, it will cost us $140. We ended up spending some more time at Starbucks chatting about Ah Lun's favorite novel writer. 

Our first family holiday - Phuket (Aug 2016) -Day 4

We are leaving today and we had to wake up early to catch the flight. Thus we had a chance to see the morning sun right above the pool on the way to restaurant.

Finally we are on the car to the airport. The hyperactive toddler immediately fell asleep. Daddy was holding her head but I am sure he's feeling sweet from the bottom of his heart. 

Recharging! Look at this angel. She was a monster 5 mins ago. 

Never a still moment at the airport, as expected. Don't mention the meltdown on the plane plus the poo poo during the flight. We insisted not to give her the phone or iPad to play, so this is what we expected and she's actually doing quite well given that she did not own enough space on the plane. 

Our first family holiday - Phuket (Aug 2016) - Day 3

Yay, sitting indoors on the second day and having a high chair. The experience is much better than that happened yesterday.

Megan was happy! We were happy too. 

We have learnt the lesson yesterday so we were moving our dinner an hour earlier. Had a big meal at the Italian restaurant. 

The Parma ham pizza was nice. 

The rain suddenly came but I insisted to take a look. We saw the rainbow once we reached the edge of the hotel. 

Rainbow selfie failed. The lighting had to be adjusted. We called that a day. 

Our first family holiday - Phuket (Aug 2016) - Day 2

Weather is great on the second day. Very happy to see the blue sky. Checking out our private pool in the morning. 

She threw a tandrum when she was not allowed to swim when she's passing by the pool. We had to eat first but she just did not understand. 

Daddy loves to look after Megan. Feeling blessed to have a caring husband. 

The place was so full on Monday and we had to sit outside. We were all sweating which also made Megan grumpy. By the way, no high chair as they were all taken. Another disaster.

I ordered this float online. The last one on shopbop. How lucky. That's the coolest thing lately. 

Papa is tiring to look after two of us. The water is super cold.

Dinner time on the second day was a disaster. All restaurants only open after 6:30pm. But this does not work for Megan so we were having a light snack at the bar. No high chair at meal time will look like this. 

That evening, Megan slept well in the beginning but she woke up at midnight. She insisted to sleep with us. So after having three attempts, I gave in as its already 3am. Everyone needed a sleep. But I was terribly sorry for this action taken. Had to show more authority in the next sleep. 

Happy Birthday 2016

A simple but a memorable day, spent with my family. 

I requested a day off today, and managed to have a hair cut, bought some clothes in the mall, and back for a swimming session with Megan. 

She was so excited to go to the swimming pool after waking up from the lunch nap.

Oh let's cut it. This is made with love by papa. 

My man made a special cake for me almost every year. All cakes are so cool. In recent history, we had Japanese ramen cake, cake in a watermelon, and last year crepe cake tastier than Lady M.  

This one is technically difficult! And it's done in perfection, amazing calculation and planning. Even the jam between the cakes are made by Ah Lun. I am so blessed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 

That's the best celebration already. I can't ask for more. 

Our first family holiday - Phuket (Aug 2016) - Day 1

We did not manage to get Megan's passport for the last holiday to Maldives. It's actually destiny, and it's a good one when I looked back. She definitely could not handle a 6-Hour flight. 

Well, Megan was so happy on the day we departed Hong Kong. She has no clue that she's doing. We decided not to drive our car as there were too many things to handle at one time. Since this is our first time, we made sure we arrive early to check-in in person. I just realized that there's no online check-in allowed for infants. 

We are on time and no surprises on the way. Finally, we had too much time in the airport... Killing time for a toddler is tough. Luckily, we have found a playground there.

Megan was super excited and kept running around. She's climbing up to the chair and coming down for 100 times. 

Like father like daughter. It's just a split of second, so funny. 

The Phuket flight is not taking off from the usual terminal. So I was not familiar that there's a play area. How good to find it in the end.

Megan was so happy that she's running everywhere or in the opposite direction we want. We ended up moving Megan like this many times haha. Now, we should get our room key.

Checking out the balcony behind the Windows as we did not want Megan to swim in the late afternoon. She did not realize there's a pool outside. 

She's enjoying the big sofa. She's surprised we brought along her favorite nursery rhyme book. 

The hotel sent the complimentary champagne, cup cakes and chocolates to our room. Since we had told them we are also celebrating our 17th anniversary during this trip. That's very thoughtful. 

It's so cheesy but still we appreciated their arrangement. Weather is not great on day 1. 

The challenge for day 1 is to put Megan to bed in a completely new environment and baby cot. But we successfully did it.
