Springtime marks the new beginings for everything, and baby news from a friend just arrive in time. Not sure if my friend will be given a pair of twins? If I am lucky, i hope to have twins too, because I can save 10 months time and one round of diet / exercise program.

Inspirations from Laughing Gor

I normally pass by the HK Headline Daily distribution stand everyday before i get to the MTR station, so HK Headline is always my first choice. Meanwhile, Metro Daily is my second choice, because i enjoy reading Mr Wong's column very much. It's always good to start my morning with some inspirational thinking.

最近無綫一套電線劇熱爆，連小弟沒有「電視撈飯」的習慣，都知道內裏有一位男演員紅透半邊天，經仔細查看，才發現那位當紅演員不是有型有款的男主角陳鍵鋒或吳卓羲，而是大配角謝天華。他最 初以奸角Laughing哥出場，但實情卻是臥底，令觀眾始料不及，結果大受歡迎。
我撥了數個電話，向一位無綫情報員收集意見，了解一下這位Laughing哥，為甚麼會這麼成功？一查之下，才得知這位仁兄從前只是做伴舞，而1996年的《古惑仔》一片，成為他的事業轉捩點，《古》創下2,000萬票房，系列共6集，他拍足5集，令知名度大增，及後有機會參與《雪狼湖》音樂劇，從而被無綫戲劇製作部總監曾勵珍賞識，吸納為無綫藝員，慢慢由小配角變成大配角。
據聞他對每一部劇集也做了許多工夫，不論戲份如何，他都會揣摩整份劇本內的角色，非常勤力，結果估也估不到，一個奸角都可以令觀眾有這麼大反應，就如我當日的《知命．改命》所說的一樣，人「知命」並不重要，最重要的是改變命運──「改命」。
在我們人生的心路歷程裏，都有着一些不可改變的事實，一一被規範，例如你出生的背景，我們的父母，兄弟姐妹們是誰，以及出生的年代，我們永不可以改變，我們能夠改變的，就是在這個框架裏，扮演好自己的角色。
如果你出身草根階層，便要努力讀書，考取學歷，然後在事業上努力拼搏，這樣就不會有人歧視你；如果你的職位低微，就應該要像當年謝天華一樣，即使只是伴舞一角，也要勤勤力力，做好自己Dancer的角色，然後一步一步上位至小配角，再慢慢走向大配角之路，到最後，才能在今時今日紅得發紫，一時無兩，風頭蓋過一眾有型有款的主角。
他成功的關鍵只有八個字「盡力而為，永不言敗」。每位成功的人，背後都有許多辛酸史，你要找第一個伯樂，就要找對合天時，合地利，合人和的景象，你要得到這三大條件，就要不斷裝備自己，不要鬆懈，因為運氣，永遠只會留給有準備的人。
在職場上，千萬不要低估自己的能力，儘管你現時只是一個小角色，你也不應感到自卑，但如果你一直都相信自己只是一個小角色，永不抬頭的話，那你真的已經到了盡頭，沒有希望了。
只要你永不言敗，願意虛心學習，有耐性與毅力，一定會等到伯樂，並有出人頭地的一天。話雖如此，我也對這位謝天華，作出以下的警誡：記着，上位容易，坐位難，不可以因一時的成功，而沾沾自喜，理應用戰戰兢兢，如履薄冰的心態，把日後每個機會，都發揮得淋漓盡致。
在來臨的文章裏，我會教大家「上位」及如何坐穩位，到最後，我更會總結許多「快上位，快落位」的故事，讓大家加以警惕。

Feeling stressed

Pimples keep popping up on my face in the last 2 weeks. The case is worsening with the fact that I have intense stress at the office while i could not really sleep in the last 2 days. So i decided to take Chinese medicine again, and i went to see the young chinese doctor this lunch. The doctor told me that I am a person who has a wet (濕) digestive system and a hot (熱) base above my disgestive system (basically from head to lungs). I am advised to drink more 冬瓜盅, it's such a good news because i really like this soup!

He is just not that into you

it is a good film, but it is not as humorious as i have expected. So i am a little bit disappointed.
The film is all about love & relationship in the modern world, it's always been a difficult subject. I hope I can master all the skills and feel easy when occassional disagreements hit me.
Anyway, i really love the proposal from Ben Affleck, it's touching!

when m&m are young...

I am clearing the computer today, and found the video of our childhood photos prepared for our wedding banquet last May. Tic Tak Tic Tak....time flies...tic tak tic tak....

怒食pizza

The belated birthday dinner for Kitty took place at California Pizza Kitchen. Last night, we felt quite confident about our appetite while we made the order! 5 of us consumed......

Don't forget that the size of the dishes are quite big! under the notion of 呻飢莫呻飽, we finished as much as possible, and of course, Ah Lun finished everything before the waiters collected our plates.

A lucky day to get a "lucky" bag

Today is a super lucky day for me for sure.

The new business meeting started off well with our new boss this morning, though it lasted for tow hours......

After the meeting, i received my latest internet order. It was actually a surprise gift for ah lun. After two weeks of finalizing the design, the final product has arrived my office in good condition. It turned out really great and it is even much better than what i have expected.

Before lunch, i received a call from the MD, and he said a small amount of bonus will be given to everyone in our team. It's definitely a great news when you did not expect to receive a bonus in such a difficult time.

My day was ended with a belated birthday dinner with my eldest sister, Kitty. We had a big big meal at California Pizza Kitchen, one of our favourite restaurants.

After the meal, we did a little bit of shopping, and i realized the "Lucky Brand Jeans" has opened a new store at LCX. and the 20%off discount offer will be valid within this week. So Ah Lun bought me a leather bag and a pair of ear rings. I swear I will not drop any more ear rings he bought for me.

Day 4 - 29 March 2009

I miss Hong Kong on Day 4 already. We had a great sleep until the meeting time at 11.30am. We were heading to Maxwell Food Centre to have Chicken rice, laksa, etc before we leave Singapore.

We spent the rest of the day along Orchard Road, one group shopped at Gap and one group shopped at Charles and Keith (second time).

Shopping was never-ending for girls, and we made a long stop at Bengawan Solo Cake Shop at the airport, and everyone was shopping for souvenirs crazily!

Day 3 - 28 March 2009

We played the ball games in the pool before we checked out. We were much noisier than the kids, without doubt!

Flora had to leave earlier because she had to work on Sunday, so we said good bye to her at the ferry terminal. The group of 9 then went to have Chilli and Black Pepper Crabs along the east coast. Joyce ip was very messy because she did not suck up the chilli gravy, and the sauce was all over her hands and palms.

We checked into the new Ibis Hotel and I am glad to win the "Room Challenge" because I could have my own bed instead of sharing the twin beds with 3 girls. How lucky am I!!!!
